USAAF A-9 Summer Flying Helmet.

The A-9 Summer Flying helmet became standard issue just seventeen days after the U.S. officially entered the war. Produced with hooks to accommodate either the A-9 or A-10 oxygen mask,
Helmet is in overall very good condition, showing some staining and usage, chinstrap is in good condition, and still supple, with no loss to the shearling cover, helmet has been fitted with leather ear cups, to accommodate receivers, And snaps to accommodate an oxygen mask. fitted with an early oxygen mask clip, and one female snap has been replaced at some time (see photo) but does not detract. Helmet does show signs of wear, and one repair near the L/H receiver cup (see photo)
A pair of ANB Receivers have been fitted, which are in excellent condition, as is the loom, with no fraying to the outer cover, fitted with a PL-354 plug
