USAF HGU-2A/P Helmet & MBU-5/P Oxygen Mask

Early RARE version of the HGU, having the three "ventilation holes" as per factory issue, helmet is in excellent overall condition, with no issues.
The crown and neck pads are fitted, but the brow pad has been removed, But when on display, this of course does not detract. The shell has the 3 vent holes, which was a feature up to around 1966, the visor housing is a later version, having a raised plastic guide rail, as opposed to the earlier Aluminium track, The grey visor, is in excellent condition, and works smoothly, a USAF decal has been applied which does have some chipping to the lettering. The early HGU-2A/P introduced a new type of headset, the H-154/AIC. It is easily identifiable with its spring-loaded metal mounting arms.
Both receivers are in excellent condition, with no damage, and the foam rubber noise "dampeners" are in place. The white nylon chinstrap/ nape strap are in excellent order.
The MBU-5/P mask is in excellent condition, complete, and dated 66/67/68, by the Sierra Eng. Company, and a size long, narrow, and has been "personalised" by having the "Hard-shell" spray painted red! tube is in excellent condition, and the oxygen connector is fitted with an "anti-flail" strap.
Excellent 1960's Vietnam era USAF rig, that would be very difficult to upgrade.
