USA. WWII Ike Jacket & Trousers 5th Army
WWII Ike jacket, size 38"s, badged up to a warrant officer, with two x S.S.I's. one to the 5th Army, and a U.S. Army ETO Advance Base S.S.I.
Jacket is in excellent condition, with all buttons intact, makers label, to the inside breast pocket, (see photo)
one area of a couple of small moth nips to lower l/hand sleeve but does not detract, other than this one issue, jacket is excellent. named inside neck area in ink,

5 button fly, with 6 buttons inside waist for bracers.
Four pockets, with one "ticket" pocket, and button down rear pockets. one very small period repair to the L/hand front pocket, hardly noticeable, and does not detract, other than that, in excellent condition.
The United States Fifth Army was one of the principal formations of the U.S. Army in the Mediterranean during World War II, and was the first American field army ever to be activated outside of the United States. It was officially activated on 5 January 1943 at Oujda, French Morocco and made responsible for the defence of Algeria and Morocco. It was also given the responsibility for planning the American part of the invasion of mainland Italy.
