USAAF A-8B oxygen mask/

By The Ohio Chemical Manufacturing Co. Dated 4/43. These were introduced in late 1941 and are often referred to as the A-8B 'bladder mask' in reference to the fine rubber rebreather bag suspended beneath the facemask. The rubber facepiece presents well and remains supple with no issues The rebreather 'bladder' is in very good supple condition and is a "replacement" one? The oxygen hose is complete with end connector, and remains flexible The mask retains the original elastic and leather harness, as well as the original sponge rubber filters, Whilst this is not a perfect example it is still very good and would make an excellent display of these rare and sought after masks. Intended for use with the A-9 or B-6 Helmet, or with the adjustment tab, allowing the mask to be worn with a cap, or on its own.
