United States Flag,Identification Bail Out.

U.S. Air crew I.D. flag printed on cotton, and measuring approx. 10"x7" 48 star flag, used for I.D. to allied armies, in the event of bailing out. flag is in very good condition, retaining very good colour, with one central crease, from folding.
Various sizes of I.D. flags were used by Pilots and crew members. (see flight gear Bianchi page 123)
