WW2 cased air medal

Boxed WW2, U.S.A.A.F. Air medal, medal is in good uncleaned unnamed condition, ribbon in well used condition, with some fraying to it.
it is suspended on a "wrap round broach" and has
been on this since it was issued. box is in good
condition, and is of the early wood type covered in
leatherette, inside the lid, some staining has occurred which appears to be water damage, it also comes with lapel badge and ribbon bar.

The Air Medal is a military decoration of the United States Armed Forces. The medal was created in 1942 and is awarded for single acts of heroism or meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight.
